Guest stories
In their own words.
In their own words.
For twenty years we have been opening our home to eight people at a time, twice a year. The week ends. The friendship begins. Most of what gets said about the experience does not get said while we are still in it — it gets said weeks or months later, when guests are home, cooking pasta in their own kitchens, or pulling a bottle of Bolgheri off the shelf for someone they love.
This page gathers some of those voices. You will find no five-star reviews here, no curated platitudes. Just past guests speaking, in their own words, about what the week meant to them.
Written voices
Some guests write to us months later — about a dish they made, a bottle they opened, a memory that surfaced when they least expected it.

“Treat yourself to a wonderful experience and tour with Chicca her charming Tuscan village, taste delicious pasta, gelato, and many other local specialties. It’s an unforgettable immersion in Tuscan culture, and we felt like locals!”

“We loved Castagneto Food tour. We sampled several traditional Tuscan recipes paired with great wines from the area. Lots of food! Our guide was great and told us stories about ancient history and local life as we toured in Castagneto. I learned a lot and had fun!”

“I would highly recommend Tuscan Wine & Food Tours! We did Bolgheri Food Tour, this village is stunning! We tasted delicious local food and amazing wines. We learn a lot about history, wine culture and traditional recipes from our fun and knowledgeable guide. Don’t miss it!”
After hearing them
The honest thing for me to say is: maybe. The eight chairs at our table are not for everyone. Some of the people who write to us, after a video call, decide we are not the right fit — and we say the same. We have been doing this for twenty years. We know the difference between a guest who will love the week and a guest who will be polite about it.
So write to me. Twenty minutes from each kitchen, and we will both know.
Before you book
If something on this page made you feel that you might want a week of your own, write to me. The next step is a conversation. The eight chairs fill quickly, and we hold them with care.
A presto, Chicca
